CSK: 8/1 after 2.1 overs
So we are back with the chase…
This should be easy for Chennai. However, Bangalore will look at the spinners for some fight. Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu start with the bat, Yuzvendra Chahal with the ball.
OUT! Dwyane Bravo strikes first ball- Parthiv Patel (29) is finally OUT as the final wicket. Royal Challengers Bangalore are all out for just 70.
RCB: 70 after 17.1 overs (Parthiv Patel 29)
OUT! Ravindra Jadeja beats Umesh Yadav and strikes the timber. 9th wicket gone.
RCB: 70/9 after 16.5 overs (Parthiv Patel 29)
OUT! Another one bites the dust, Imran Tahir gets his 3rd. Chahal (4) finds Harbhajan in the outfield.
OUT! Navdeep Saini (2) is gone now- Imran Tahir’s googly beats the defence of Saina and CSK went for an appeal for lbw. They go for the DRS. It was not an LBW but as there was some bat involved, an inside edge, replays confirm. However, Shane Watson has taken the catch in the slips as well, so RCB lose another wicket.
RCB: 53/7 after 11.1 overs (Parthiv Patel 18)
OUT! Colin de Grandhomme (4) is gone now – the CSK spinners are hunting in pack tonight. Ravindra Jadeja induces the edge, MS Dhoni takes a sharp catch.
RCB: 50/6 after 10.3 overs (Parthiv Patel 17)
OUT! Shivam Dube (2)- the young star falls early in his debut IPL innings. Dhoni has brought Imran Tahir on just after the strategic time out. Dube went for a late cut but managaed just an edge. There was a slip in place for just that.
RCB: 45/5 after 9.2 overs (Parthiv Patel 16)
OUT! Shimron Hetmyer (0) is run out. There was no run there as the ball went to Suresh Raina. His throw was accurate and Dhoni did the rest.
RCB: 39/4 after 8 overs (Parthiv Patel 12)
OUT! What is happening here- AB de Villiers (9) was dropped by Imran Tahir. It seemed like a huge mistake, but ABD is caught by Ravindra Jadeja just one ball later. Harbhajan Singh gets his third wicket.
RCB: 38/3 after 7.2 overs (Parthiv Patel 12)
OUT! Moeen Ali (9) also falls to Harbhajan Singh. The ball is not coming easily to the bat. Ali had started well but this time ends up tossing one back to the bowler. Easy dismissal for Harbhajan.
AB de Villiers is the new man in.
RCB: 28/2 after 5.2 overs (Parthiv Patel 11)
OUT! Virat Kohli is the first wicket to fall in IPL 2019. It has been a great start by Chennai bowlers. They have not allowed Virat or Parthiv to score freely. Virat (6) finally decided to take on Harbhajan Singh. But his shot sends the ball straight to Ravindra Jadeja.
RCB: 16/1 after 3/3 overs (Parthiv Patel 8)
A very good over by Chahar. He concedes one boundary due to some misfield by Shardul Thakur.
